Sightseeing articles. Not a booking engine.
We exist to help you enjoy travel adventures — researching, planning, and actually walking the routes ourselves to gather practical sightseeing information, not just inspiration. Once you know where you’re going, our destination hubs and articles help you build the days once you’re there. When you’re ready to book the practical stuff, our trip-prep articles point you toward the tools to do it.
“Practical sightseeing plans, not just destination inspiration.”
Our mission
Our mission at Roundtrip Sightseeing is to help travelers enjoy their trips more once they’re already going. We research, plan, and travel to gather and share information that encourages people to enjoy life through their own travel adventures — insight about destinations, sightseeing, itineraries, gear, and the practical details that make a trip run smoothly.
How it works
Most visitors are at one of three points. Read the sentence that sounds most like you right now — that’s where to start.
“I don’t know where to go yet.”
That’s what Destination Decider is for — our sister site, built to help you narrow down where to go. Come back here once you’ve decided. Let Destination Decider help →

Who writes this
Most of what you’ll read here is written by Steve Strong, who tests the routes and sightseeing plans on this site — including both the Camino de Santiago and Japan’s Kumano Kodo — before they go into an article.
Transparency and how we keep the lights on
Every article on Roundtrip Sightseeing is free to read. The site is funded by a possible small commission when you book through one of our partners for stays, tours, or activities — at no extra cost to you. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Here’s what makes our approach different:
- Every partner link is clearly labeled as one, no disguised promotions
- We never auto-redirect you — you always choose whether to click
- You never have to use a partner link to get the full value of an article
- What we recommend is not influenced by which partners pay more
No professional advice: All content on this site is provided for general travel planning purposes only. We do not provide legal, financial, visa, or medical advice. Always verify entry requirements, health guidelines, and travel regulations with official government sources before making travel decisions.
